Toyota’s suite of active safety characteristics is standard for every fresh RAV4. It includes a pre-collision warning system with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with steering assistance, adaptive cruise control and road signal detection.
Rear cross-traffic braking
This extra safety system that’s optional on XLE models and standard on Limited versions not only warns you of an approaching vehicle when backing up but can apply the brakes if a collision appears likely.
Blind-spot monitoring
Optional for LE models and standard for XLE trims and above, this scheme warns of cars in your blind spot. It also features a rear cross-traffic warning, which alerts you to the approaching car when you leave the parking space.
