Also available is a potent 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that can be had in lieu of the standard 1.5-liter turbo-4. The Equinox boasts laudable technology with standard Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration and 4G LTE connectivity. But to get active safety features such as lane-keep assist and automatic emergency braking, you must buy the highest trim and then spend extra on options.

The 2019 Chevrolet Equinox has a Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for a front-wheel-drive L model beginning at $24,795. Most buyers in an LS or LT model will be better off, starting at $26,795 and $28,095, respectively. If you want a diesel from Chevy Equinox, you will also need to step up to the LT diesel starting at $30,495. Premium Equinox models start at just under $32,000. All-wheel drive is an additional $1,700, requiring or greater LS trim.
All-in, in this section, an Equinox SUV can top $42,000— quite high. The Equinox undermines the Honda CR-V and Nissan Rogue at its base cost and is consistent with the Ford Escape.
