#7 2019 Nissan Rogue
The 2019 Nissan Rogue looks set to continue its success as Nissan’s best-selling model, comfortable, effective and just a tad bit sporty. The Rogue, of course, faces stiff competition, with SUVs of similar size offering more power, while others offer the real off-road capability.
But the Rogue stands out with its appealing pricing, spacious interior and a hybrid powertrain accessible that achieves 35 mpg in highway driving. The Rogue provides only one engine option, unlike the Jeep Cherokee, a 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder matched to a smooth, continually variable automatic transmission (CVT).
The Rogue isn’t as much fun to drive as a Mazda CX-5, and can’t tow as much as a Ford Escape, but it does offer a smooth ride, a quiet cabin and plenty of high-tech features.
2019 Nissan Rogue Price
The 2019 Nissan Rogue pricing system is very straightforward: S (base), SV (more normal characteristics— this is our strongest recommendation)— andSL (top of the line). A Rogue S base model (no Hybrid at this stage) has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of around $25,795 including a target charge of $995. The Rogue SV petrol-only starts at about $27,200, with the SV Hybrid beginning at about $1,500 greater. The Rogue SL is about $32,400 at the top tier, with a premium of about $150 for the Rogue SL Hybrid.
All-wheel drive can be added to any model for $1,350. With the exception of the feature-rich Kia Sportage, these rates are relatively close to similar rivals. Check the KBB Fair Purchase Price for a clearer concept of what Rogues are going to do in your neighborhood before you can create your best offer. Your resale will be nice at the end of the highway, but not powerful Forester / CR-V / RAV4/Sportage.
#6 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
Don’t let the rugged styling of the all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4 fool you: below that off-road-inspired design is a compact SUV that still provides a spacious interior, easy-going convenience, a slew of standard sophisticated safety characteristics, good fuel economy, and is supported by a tradition of great value and reliability for resale.
For 2019, while improving handling and adding ground clearance and comfort characteristics, Toyota is improving on what customers already like about the RAV4.
The all-new RAV4 Hybrid has the distinction of providing both the sportiest and most fuel-efficient version of the tiny Toyota SUV.
This fusion of on-road agility, off-highway capability, and overall value keeps the RAV4 a standout among tough competitors like the Honda CR-V, Nissan Rogue, and Ford Escape.
2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid Price
Toyota’s new 2019 RAV4 LE has a starting cost of $26,545, including a target charge of $1,045. Toyota is making a powerful value declaration with this RAV4 generation. For a rise of $840 over the prior model, the LE adds more than $2,000 of standard equipment.
At XLE level, $3,000 of standard fare is adding around $1,500, and the Limited is offering $4,000 of standard equipment at a cost increase of about $2,300. The XSE Hybrid model provides an even greater value proposition, with more energy and better fuel economy than the non-hybrid RAV4, for just $800 more than the similar AWD designs powered by gasoline.
And that price is $925 lower than the 2018 hybrid, for a car with a lot more facilities and characteristics. The pricing begins at about $35,000 when you get to the top-of-the-line Limited. Hybrid rates begin at approximately $28,000 (LE), then move to $32,000 (XLE), $35,000 (XSE), and lastly the Limited Hybrid, starting at approximately $37,000.
Pricing exceeds Honda CR-V, Ford Escape and Nissan Rogue’s pricing. We anticipate that the 2019 Toyota RAV4 will remain the wonderful resale value and reliability tradition of Toyota.
